Taboo Spelled like Love

Here we are,

Sitting here,

fingers intertwined,

purple ribbon around your neck,

dull knife at my throat.

Can we keep up this deadly game?

Playing around,

with our emotions,

taking the beating,

from others words.

Is this all really worth the pain?

I hear your heart beat,

syncing up with mine,

to us we are right,

To others we are not meant to be.

Can we handle this?

Now here we are,

chained to the walls,

the only thing that is left of our souls,

is our love.

Why couldn't things be.....different?
