Survivor

I was fifteen and so naive,
Didn't know any better,
He was eighteen, and seemed so sweet,
But he changed like the weather.

He never bothered telling me,
About his twisted tendencies,
I thought I might have found my prince,
Until he stole my innocence

'Cause I said no, but he still goes...tears are falling silently,
I lay there still, he gets his thrill..holding me down violently,
And nothing will ever compare, to all the nights I've had nightmares,
I hope this haunts him 'til he's dead, but never forget what I said.....cause I said no.

Gave no consent, but still he went,
And did what he wanted to.
The worst part, that breaks my heart<
Is when he said "I love you."

He looked into my frightened eyes,
He held me down and told me lies,
And I was to scared to attack,
So I just said..."I love you" back.

It's sad to say, but to this day,
I can't forget what he did,
It's stuck with me, a memory,
Since I was just a kid.

But now when someone looks at me,
I truly hope that they can see,
I'm not a victim...I'm a survivor.
