A Sunless Garden
Now I collect lovely, depressing thoughts
I see visions of a sunless garden
Make no offense, but instead it pardon
Of your stupid faults and falsely tied knots.
There are no strange sweltering rays of light
My chest is this garden’s desolate ground
You never looked, you never turned around
Sweetest flowers do not grow in the night.
I now walk the lonely road once again
And I swear that I will never look back
I have self-hate for self-esteem I lack,
Living inside my gloomy heart of pain.
If you have loved me once then shame on me.
But love me twice, then we should let it be.
