The Sun and the Moon

The moon,

In all her shining beauty,

Sits high in the night sky,

Surrounded by her starry admireres.

The sun,

In all his power,

Rides high in the day sky,

Needs no one to tell him of his might.

They shared the sky for an eternity

And never met,

Never spoke,

And never saw.

A random series of events

Brought the moon to the sun.

For a brief moment in time,

They were one.
