I gaze out at the nothingness beneath the depressing gray sky.

The ground is a grave.

The trees are skeletons.

They have recently been stripped of their skin.

Oh when will I see my love again?

When all is bright and warm?

I don't think this darkness will ever end.

But when I'm about to give up, I see a sign of new life!

Yes, I see a patch of luscious, green hope on the ground!

My love is near!

Yes, very near.

A few more weeks of intense longing, and he'll be here!

Bright, sunny, and warm.

It's finally time to shed this heavy, dull skin

and trade it in for a light, colorful one!

He is finally here.

My love.
