Strong House

I touched the side of the peeling green house.

The weather has torn and chisled it away.

It used to be bright and proud.

It was a strong house, but now it is dying.

Times change and fly by fast.

Most of it is gone in a flash.

But still, we stand tall.

Time was ever flowing once, but it has broken.

I felt the brick on the crumbling wall.

The wall that had held for so long.

It once was new and gleaming.

The wall was there, but now it is broken.

We were strong and bright once.

Like the old, proud house.

But life has worn and weathered us.

We were strong once, but now we are dying.
