Strong

I am a smile that holds back tears.
The suppression of pain.
I am from banana bread and boiling water.
A jack of all trades,
Master of none.
I am asexual, destined to be alone.
Most people want sex before love.

I am the strong one.
The one who never backs down.
I create my own sunshine in the dark
flowers over scars.
Most have healed; some still throb.
My lungs fill with air.
It now feels good to breathe.

I am a bright smile.
The light in every room.
I am from the fruits of my labor.
You reap what you sow.
Never held back.
Once a sad note,
Now a happy tune.
