Stripes

In the jungle hiding, watching, lurking around

Making sure to stay way down low

Stalking the prey that may not live, to see another day

The majestic beast will close in without a sound

Stripes camouflage him, so the victim won’t know

That today will be it’s last and final day

In a savannah, with a herd

Lapping water and grazing grass

Trying avoid danger at any cost

The bellowing roar of lions are heard

Hoping the mirage of her stripes will get her pass

She runs among the herd hoping she is lost

Stripes

A predator and preys foundation

Stripes

Honor that receives human admiration

Stripes

Mother natures ultimate innovation

Practicing for minutes, hours, and days

Memorizing each form and every single lesson

Performing each move with accuracy and precision

Praying that Sensei will be pleased by the display

Giving you another stripe for the progression

Leaving the Dojo with the next step already envision

Being woken up in the wee hours of morning

Grueling challenges to face, no time to be nervous

Sights not one man should every have to see

Things just happen and go without warning

Another stripe earned for each term of service

A small token given, for helping this nation stay free

Stripes

A predator and preys foundation

Stripes

Honor that receives human admiration

Stripes

Mother natures ultimate innovation

The most commonly used design

Stripes are universal

A disguise that animals use for survival

Stripes decides what can live to an old age

A reward given when succeeding to the next stage

Stripes are truly divine
