I know I have one
Thing- strength.
Not physical,
But in the way to stay
Standing for myself.

I stand for all
I believe in.
For my truth,
Not yours.
For my emotions,
Not yours.
For my mind,
Not yours.

This strength I own
Has my sanity cuffed
To my wrist,
So tightly that it
Bleeds.
The digging metal
Is a sense of
Pain and suffering
But also
Relief and Power.

The cuff threatens
To release,
But I lock it tighter.
Part of me wants
To release this sanity,
This strength,
But I refuse
To let myself go.
Because this strength
Is all I have.
