Stranger in The Woods
I’m Little Red, and this is my story.
Mama said be careful,
For there could be dangerous people
Lurking in the woods.
“Grandma’s house isn’t far,
I’ll make it there safe”.
I wonder through the forest,
I hear foot steps behind me.
There is a man, wearing black,
Walking behind me,
With his hands in his pocket.
From the corner of my eye,
I see him reach for something out of his pocket.
Fear creeping through me,
And ran as fast as I could to Grandma’s house.
I arrived at Grandma’s house,
But she isn’t home.
And the man in the woods,
Knocks down the door
Pins me to the ground,
Tears my red hood from my body.
I cry for help,
But no one came.
I accept my fate for what is to come.
The man unbuckles his belt,
I close my eyes
And hear a loud bang.
I open my eyes to see Grandma,
With a shotgun,
Pointing to the dead man next to me.
