The Stranger Self

Take your life back from yourself

from the stranger who has despised you all your life,

whom you couldn’t sue for peace,

who hated your mind, your very heart.

Take down your heart from it’s noose,

take back your desperate dreams,

peel your angry soul from the flesh.

That is your life no longer.
