Story of Me

Here sits a girl, pretty as a rose.
A friend she relied on right under her nose.
He got up the nerve to show her his own.
And then in turn took off her clothes.

Later, tattered and broken.
The girl sat crying, very unspoken.
A new friend appeared just as seemingly broken.
She told him her story after lots of provoking.

He got angry but just held her instead.
Swearing later he would cut off his head.
Making her laugh and smile again.
She thought life was better with this new friend.

Life went on and she tried to push out her old life.
Beginning again in his new founding light.
Until he told her his story about a night.
Full of confusing thoughts and darkness a like.

She tried to push through and understand this new side.
But his urges were too strong for him to stay by her side.
He took his darkness and let it control him.
All the while the girl was left, fogotten.

Now the secrets are out in the open.
The girl has to overcome these new emotions.
The betrayal she feels is very unspoken.
Now the trust seems to be very broken.

Alone on her own the girl must consider.
What's to become of her life, be alone or together broken?
Both cheated and broken, were either one fair?
The answer to this is seemingly unclear.

Life is a confusing one this is for sure.
But now is the girl ready for more?
That question is up to her alone.
But she is already quite picked to the bone.

The boy on the other hand quite convinced.
That the girl will stay his as long as he quits.
But the darkness is creeping and stopping his thoughts
Making her his, is not what it wants.

So the girl sits aside waiting for the night,
The boy might be able to tell her what's right.
Shall he stay with her and love her for life.
Or enter the darkness and leave her despite?

Now this story, a tragic at best.
Must come to an end or rest.
But not knowing the truth is very unsettling.
Will the girl be okay, to out last the betting?
