Stormy Night of the Mind

Location

The last light of day has drowned

And day the night has slain

Darkness ever yet holds its ground

Though rebellious stars abound

It protects by force its reign

The last light of day has drowned

All hope begins to wane

There is no freedom to be found

Darkness ever yet holds its ground

Lightning cracks the night in twain

With joyous cries the hills resound

The last light of day has drowned

Skies open with dawn's first strain

The light carves it path westbound

Darkness ever yet holds its ground

The new dawn stabs at the rain

But through the clouds can not be found

The last light of day has drowned

Darkness ever yet holds its ground
