Stop Being Ignorant

You have no legitimate reason
To judge someone because they’re gay
How much you wanna bet you’d be pissed
If someone told you not to be a certain way

Not to live a certain lifestyle
Not to go after a certain dream
Bet that would degrade you as a person
And lower your self esteem

The world blaming others and pointing fingers
Saying ‘Oh, he ain’t right’ or ‘She’s insane’
Well you know what?
Forget what they think
I’d like to see what they keep contained in their brains

Yall need to just stop creating excuses
That excel your personal elevation or degradation
Sometimes in order to move on
You gotta be patient and stay stationed

Letting people walk over you
They’re chewing you up like gum
And sticking you under their table
And in order to get scraped off
You give in so they can give you a ‘better’ label

But what’s the meaning of that label really worth
If it means giving up your own title
When you choose to be someone else
Don’t forget to take your script with you
To every recital

It’s in our nature to be judgmental
But someone disagreeing with you
Doesn’t make them any more or less of a person
Yeah, life’s a b****
But not taking the hit and overcoming it
Will only cause your problems to worsen

If I were to compare life to
Survival of the fittest
Many of you wouldn’t be surviving
Yeah, you all have the voice to shout a demand
But no one’s got the will to work and start supplying.
