Still Not Free
Every single day in the United States is a constant battle. America promised freedom, yet they continue bash the ones who try to attain it.
Homosexuals reach out for the chance of marriage equality, only to be beaten back down again. In even year 2013, people are still fighting against a constitional right such as marriage for gays.
The majority of opposition comes from believers in Christianity who get their justification from the Bible. They say that the Bible defines marriage as an institution between a man and a woman, and that being gay is a sin. They turn their noses to homosexuals, not even acting the part of a true Christian.
The same Bible they use to justify their hate says that homosexuality is forgivable and that a Christian should not look down on another person, but support their neighbor. “Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.”
The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Lord; all other sin can be pardoned, therefore homosexuality, if considered a sin, can be pardoned itself! It is baffling how doctrinaire people take one verse and twist it to their liking. Those who cite a few verses from the Bible as their source of reference are ignorant to the other thousands of verses that dismiss it.
