Steps Through Time
There were a set of steps, Skyscrapers to my eye
An approach of uncertainty
With a painful descent, I’d cry
There were a set of steps, Buildings in my gaze
An attempt of possibility
With a minor fallback , I’m unfazed
There were a set of steps, Mounds below my vision
A bid of assurance
With a weightless reward , I’ve risen
There were a set of steps, Markers of my path
A stroll of elevation
With a numb reminiscence, I laugh
