A Step into my shoes

Take a minute

To step in my shoes.

How far could you walk ?

How much could you take

Could you :

Prevail through the

Pain and rejection

See things the way I see them

Smile through the tear

And push back all fears

Laugh at all the bad memories

Simmering Hurt inside

And yet walk with your

Head held high

Take the Void of

Feeling alone in a room full

Of people who are enjoying life

As you would like but

Your shoes are just too tight

Step, if you can, into my shoes

It's lonely only for a moment

If I hesitate it'll be too late

To paste the smile

That helps

Me live this life awhile

My shoes will one day

Be my size

If only I continue to fantasize
