STAND TALL

As I step on stage my soul shines bright
The crowd goes insane as I sing into the mic
Transforming from the crowds energy
I become superhuman flying high

As I float around the stage
It is soon realized
That in this moment
An inspiring smile reflects through my eyes

A simple smile is the reason
A reason for changing a life
A reason for a couple steps towards the mic

But a couple steps away from the mic I go
As others tell me “No!”
Am I good enough?
Will I make it?

Streaks of doubt and pain rise
As my salty tears hit the pillow side
My dreams grow weak
As others knock me off my feet

But I can’t stay down
I won’t stay down
I will stand up

I WILL STAND TALL!
I will listen to my soul
And let no one steal my Rock and Roll!
