Stained

We both knew it
ever since the beginning
that the idea of you and I together
isn't something notional

Yet we're rebels.
We still pictured ourselves
in an abstract painting
hoping to change our destiny

We both pushed ourselves
into an everlasting chaos
we thought was heaven
but turned out not just the way we thought it was

We were a mosaic of good and bad,
of right and wrong,
of beautiful and ugly,
and of perfect and flawed.

A remedy,
that's how we conceptualized each other.
Until the truth hit us
that we're venomous
who are slowing poisoning each other's pieces.

And now, our tale has ended,
a sting of pain and a sense of relief.
But soon, your face will fade
and the memories of me and you will turn into dust

This poem is about:
Me
