Spreading The Love

Many lives are being takenThere all gone awayOne deadOne shotSome are D.O.AWho will be the next to come, and drift away?Back in the day it wasn’t any betterSlavery happened, and still goes on todayThe love I see all around me is not how it’s supposed to beMany iconsMany leaders fought for this world todayTo make black, and white come togetherNo more fightingNo more segregationBut as we look into our generation, I can see no changeThere’s still fightingThere’s still crimeThere’s still segregation, and much moreSome go to jailOther’s get off on bailAnd some don’t get convicted, and go scott freeLike the innocent young man Travon Martin he gets killed, and Zimmerman get to walk awayI don’t see no loveThe parents are broken hearted, everyone out there, and friends tooBecause one gets to have life, while the other lay six feet under buried in a graveSticking together, and becoming one nation won’t become to beSpreading the love is broken, and laying undercoverHidden, and won't be set freeSo take the key, and grab it nowSpread the love like we supposed to be
