Speechless

Have you ever had those times?
Times when everyone is looking at you
But you don't know what to say?
Your heart is full
But your mind is empty.
So much you wanna say
But you can't find the words to say it.
So you don't speak at all.
You keep silent.
When you should speak up.
I was that person.
Quiet.
Shy.
Silent
I had something to say
But I didn't say it.
I kept it pent up inside.
Until it all flowed forth.
Until I found my voice.
Soft, at first.
But each day it grew louder, louder, louder.
And it grew stronger, stronger, stronger.
Now you can't shut me up.
I refuse to hush.
I will not be silent.
You can't stop my voice
Because my heart bubbles forth with things which must be said,
Which must be addressed,
Which must be voiced.
You only live once?
No, you only are heard once,
Only seen once.
Fifteen minutes of spotlight.
So make it count.
Find your voice.
Be heard.
Be loud.
