That’s we wish it was,

But it isn’t that way,

Life comes at you and things change,

Time has this funny way of changing things,

In one moment we are never really the same,

As I sit here and wonder,

Was all this pain worth it?

Should I have given into the suicidal thoughts?

The extreme darkness,

How does one recoup?

How does one build with no base?

Living in the moment,

I removed my empty presence,

My absence would be felt,

My mental toughness,

It pushed me through,

Reborn and remade,

I’m no longer the same,

Time changes,

And life comes and goes,

I decided to fill that emptiness inside,

I feel whole again,

Is there more?

Why of course there is,

You feel whole,

You feel like a part,

I was afraid to lose her,

As well as myself,

I know she’s far away,

But I know she thinks of me,

Eventually it all fades into memories,

Time tried to beat us,

We beat time,

See here’s the thing,

Time always wins,

But it’s a matter of perspective,

Time thinks it wins,

And it truly does,

It breaks us,

Tries to turn that inside smile into a frown,

Tries to make it upside down,

Death,

Pain,

Time used to beat me,

But I’m not afraid,

I’m setting myself free,

Because I love myself,

I love her so I set her free,

And she came back to me,

I loved many,

It all fades into memories,
