Spare Change

You pass them on the street
Trying to beat the heat
But they're out there all day
all they want is some spare change
You only throw it in your car
Not needing it at all
What about that extra sandwich?
Nah it's fine just ditch it?
I've had my wake up call
I wont sit here, do nothing at all
I've made my own mistakes
Learned and was repaid
But those people everyday
Sit and feel their pain
All they want to do is talk
Maybe take a walk with you
talk with you
Give them some cash
Maybe buy them some food
I'm not asking you to give them your house
I'm not asking you to pay for a room
I'm not asking you to give them your clothes
I'm just asking that you sit in their shoes
I hate to see them sad
As I drive past their "pad"
One the corner I see parents
Their kids look all bent
I cry after I pass them and pout
Because I never stopped and got out
Heck you would feel the same
All They Want Is Some Spare Change
