Soul Wide Open

My eyes are windowless frames.
Climb in, my soul wide open.
Being translucent is all too familiar.
The unknown is known.

There is nothing shallow about being broken -
I keepsake the shards of momma’s china.
She lives in the fragmented remains.
Just look into my eyes, my soul wide open.

I am a frame without the picture.
But my worth is more than a thousand words.
Waltz inside my pains
and hear the grandiose screams open these walls.

I prayed to God to be my eyes,
He did not answer. My soul wide open.
