A Soul in Turmoil

A Darkness penetrates the skin

Snuffing out the Light within.

The Soul wills itself to fight

Thinking of some small delight.

And the Light begins to grow,

Gaining courage, as she thinks of falling snow.

But the Darkness isn’t done,

It’s determined to take out the Sun.

The Soul plunges into an eternal Night

But in a corner there’s daylight.

Light begins to swell again,

Bringing Darkness to an end.

But the cycle begins anew

Light and Dark as wolves must chew

Through the chain that binds them together,

Each one trying to dominate the other forever.
