Sorceress of Fate

The sorceress’ wicked sneer

To the faraway pier

From which the people leer

were all queer

As she took their tears

Construing of fates was her life,

Contrite in her answers to who ever

May come along seeking the paradox

Of life to be consummate or

Of proof that we do exist

Copious souls has she seized

    Some of  convivial fortunes

From a once lonesome dimension

    Some of invidious cupidity

From a mental pestilence

Cumbersome was the travel but

There was a credence among many

Local coteries of the purest blood

As credulous as they came & conquered

The sorceress’ labyrinth then to see their rancid fates
