Sonnet 476

‘Tis deeply somber that thee leave me here

Heartbroken and still pining over thee

Your love to which I’ve been fully sincere

Now flees from me, your faithful devotee.

Thou art the sun and I your shielding sky

From anything that keeps us both apart.

But I have failed and this you shan’t deny

‘Cause thou’st the one that broke my loyal heart.

Thou’st 'bandon’d me with absolute distaste

To venerate your dark and distant moon.

O how you leave my refuge with such haste!

Particularly for that wretchéd goon.

I still watch for the day when thou returns

To overcome all of my deep concerns.
