Somewhere I'm dancing

Location

Somewhere I'm dancing in the street,

alone,

my sneakers dirty from running,

running from feeling scared,

running from any feeling at all,

because in the end,

feelings hurt more than they heal,

somewhere I'm dancing at a concert,

my friends beside me,

my sneakers dirty from people stepping on them,

stepping on the feeling of being scared,

stepping on the idea that I'll never heal,

somewhere I'm dancing

with or without my friends,

because dancing is the cure,

and without cures we can't heal.
