Something in the Forest

In the forest, you must wait.

Beyond the house and the gate.

Where the old creatures lie,

the ones with bright, flaming red eyes.

If you spot just one in the wood,

Don’t look into their eyes of fire,

and stay out for good.

If they come chasing, run for your life.

Stay out of the shadows or they’ll come drag you back into the hollows.

The creatures show mercy to none.

All they need is you to get the job done.

They’ll tie you up in a chain up in a tree,

And you might never see the sun again.

If you don’t listen,

Your loss shall be mourned.

For a warning is a warning, and you have been warned…
