Someone Needs to Listen

She smiles, laughs jokes and plays

No one truly knows what she goes through day to day.

Ugly, fat, big and mean

People always call her these things.

They say it, she laughs;

Holds a smile like its not hurting her.

Behind that smile, she's crying.

Look into her eyes, you can see the lies

The lies that say I'm fine, it's okay

The ones that she hides everyday

Lies that she tries to disregard

The ones leaving her with all the scars

But no, it's not okay.

She goes home having thoughts of suicide,

Because on the inside are those lies that she can no longer hide;

The pain has swelled up,

She has had more than enough

Doesn't know why she's here,

She wants to give up.

She smiles everyday,

Laughs and plays

But you don't know what's she goes through day to day

Hiding her pain

Someone, somewhere has to hear her story,

So tell me, when youre ready
