Sofa

I remember what it felt like to lay next to you

To hold your hand

To feel your legs across mine

To hold you

And draw closer to you

I also remember what it was like when you held me

When you told me everything is going to be alright

I remember the kisses

I remember you holding me tight as we fell asleep

I remember fighting for the blanket because I wanted you closer to me when you were holding me so tight even though we both knew you were never there.

Now I know what it feels like to sleep alone

To sleep on a sofa

I sleep on a sofa

Because a sofa is meant for one person

There’s no room for 2 people

Like my heart

There’s no room for you anymore
