And She Read:

“The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads”

She paused and said

“No, not sugar plums, but... apples!”

She went on again:

“So then I could tell them

where the wind goes,

but where the wind comes from,

nobody knows.”

She said then

“This is false information.

The wind comes from the rotation of the earth

and changes in pressure”

And She continued:

“No matter who we are

Or what we’re going to be

Everybody's different

And no-one else is me.”

But She interjected, with a worsening mood

“But people who are too different

will be ridiculed and bullied,

So you can only be a little different

And She read on:

“Not in death, but just in sleep,

The fateful prophecy you'll keep.

And from this slumber you shall wake,

When true love’s kiss, the spell shall break.”

She exclaimed “Com’n”

“True love does not exist.

Do not allow these fairy tales to warp your view of reality.

Settle down with someone who makes you happy

instead of chasing a true love you will never find”

And She went on and on

So when does this happen,

At what age does it start,

That logic and sense

Can outweigh the heart.
