Societal Matters

Looking at her body, I feel incomplete

The attention that she gets, makes me weep

Not jealousy not envy, rather, "Why can't that be me?"

Until I'm shaped like that my mind will never be free

People preach that everyone is beautiful in their own skin

What happens when I don't like the skin that I'm in

Will I end up with injections, hop on every diet trend?

Use my money on waist trainers, nothing left to spend?

Or will I rise to the occasion and prove society wrong

Create a world where everyone can feel they belong

I had to learn for myself, love comes from the inside

When you enter this life, there's no beauty guide
