I want people to see me beyond what i am.

To stop saying i am too African when i am already black enough for them to see.

Yes i am black and i love it.

I love it even when they don't agree.

I have the accent when i speak.

But fine i can still speak English in my sleep.

I dress weird and act smart.

But my shoes are from Macy's, seriously  they're not cheap.

I eat mysterious foods that they haven't seen before.

But they make funny faces and want to have a bite.

I hear them talk behind my back and i ignore.

But not anymore.

They can call me anything but a whore.

For i am African, black, beautiful, strong and many more.
