So a horse walks into a bar...

There's a classic joke that everyone's heard,

"A horse walks into a bar..."

My love for that joke might seem absurd,

and I guess I take it too far.

I use it to break that awkward quiet,

and am met with groans, not a laugh.

When I need to check my mic, I'll try it,

but it always ends up a gaffe.

The joke is funny, and I think it's gold,

but my friends think it's a disgrace.

But that timeless punchline never gets old.

"The barman asks, 'Why the long face?'"
