Snowflakes

Crystals fall on an ocean of flakes
Layer upon layer of snowy banks it makes
Beautiful white flakes shower from above
Filling every heart with joy and love
It's winter snow coming out of hibernation
So rejoice all ye lands, rejoice every nation
The children play; what a beautiful sight!
They throw clumps of soft white
But every joy must come to an end
Like the snow, like a friend.
The snow melts, leaving only cold.
There is no more beauty in winter to behold.
