Snow White's Omen

Once upon a time…

A woman crossed a path,

Where a life of hers was to change,

And make a lucky prince happily gasp.

A day it was, blue and gay,

That she was to finally meet her fate

Eyes of blue, skin white as snow,

And hair the color of moonless night

She walked along a path and met a house,

Glowing with a pretty bright light

A witch it was who claimed to grow,

Apples sweet as the soft summer blows

Snow White, she pleaded,

Eat with me, for i cannot commit the sins

Of unforgiveable greed

But an omen was born into that young moment,

When a small bird perched on the cold cold oven

It nibbled a bit, grew stiff and slow

And fell over into the basket, neat and woven,

and full of red apples

Snow White thanked the small frail bird

Who gave sacrifice to extend her dear life

She turned to the witch, politely declined

And once more

she carried on the chores for the seven

Dwarfs,

until her time was met its core.
