Slowly dies the heart

Slowly dies the heart,

The one that loves with all it has

So tell it to me slowly

So that I may wallow in my sadness

Holding onto everything

To watch it slip away

Everything and everyone

Denying all my anguish

No one, no one can hear what I say

Alone, every moment

Empty, every twilight

Solo is my naked soul

In this unwelcome spotlight

Alone, every moment

Empty, every twilight

Solo is my naked soul

In this unwelcome spotlight

I bare you no false witness,

Nor a lying testimony

But sell my soul to you

I never will

Pour my heart out?

Never.

For I am strong

But not enough for your reaction.

For I am self-assured

But not enough to face you.

For I am in pain

But not enough to need help.

My hatred outweighs my hollow and heavy heart.

My disgust is louder than my need for companionship.

My repulsion is greedier than my yearning for acceptance.

That which I will never find in you.

Slowly dies the heart

The one that loves with all it has

So tell it to me slowly

So that I may wallow in my sadness

Holding onto everything

Just to watch it slip away

Slowly dies the heart
