Sleeper
Jealousy holds no bonds
How dare you in the room next door
Sighing in sleep, twist and snore!
Boasting of your time in temporary death
The calm nothingness
Vivid dream, the highlight
Of shuffled bedding
I envy the glory of nothingness
Solace is looking at shapes
Patterned by shifting light on the ceiling
The owl hooting, whistling of the breeze
Banging of brances againt the window
Is the only scuffing sound
You sleepers are lucky
The night caresses you
But for me it suffocates
Snuffing out the joy of peaceful nothingness, vivid dreams.
