Sleep Walker
I close my eyes, you turn to me.
My sister, my soul, I stare, you sleep,
Then begin walking off, sending shivers down my spine.
Are you possessed?
Why do you walk at this time of night? Where do you go and what do you do?
On second thought I do not wish to know.
Eyes closed, walking the night, out in the bush.
We can be possessed together.
Sleep walker, sleep walker, what are you doing
Leaving the warmth of your bed
Every time you do I must stir to awake you
Every time I fear for your safety,
Probably because you are my sister, but maybe because I don't want to chase after you
Where would you go if I left you to sleep?
And would you wake if I followed close behind?
Leaving your life and walking into the distance.
Keep going and I will still follow
Eventually I will wake you, and we will walk back home
Remember what happened last night? Of course not,
I love you.
