Slave to the College Routine

Tue, 10/18/2016 - 23:45 -- Jamilr

As I lie still my mind says "move" but my body says "snooze"

Negotiations begin and its decided that another 2 won't make the GPA bruise

But 2 passes, and now 4, and soon 10

Guilt gets the better of absent motivation and forces emergence from the den

Arrival to class is preceeded by the daily breakfast and viewing of ESPN

So emersed in sport news that I am late, again

Late so often it just seems like fate

Is class over? distracted the whole time wondering which girl to date

Attend several more classes I hate

Return to the pen where the work takes place

End the day with Netflix and chill with and empty space, lol still no bae

Rinse, repeat, how can this not be a disgrace
