Sister

Location

Your hands were soft and small

An angelic face that was pure and innocent

Your eyes closed to the world

Not ready to see what was in front of you

I took your hand and left it there

Thinking of all the adventures we’d have

The way we’d play outside and get dirty

Chasing imaginary things and never really catching anything

Playing in the sandy beaches and searching for seashells

Or how I’d comfort you when afraid of a bad dream

You slowly opened your eyes, looked at me and smiled

I then knew I was going to have the best sister in the world

And how do I know you’re the best in the world?

Because you are my world
