The Sin

I was born a girl

Only able to be skinny

Wearing only the color pretty

I was born a girl

Discriminated, isolated, and muted

I was born a girl

Used and misused for employment, housekeeping, and pleasure

I was born a girl to bear the pain of the crimson horror and labor

I was born a girl

To be rejected if not endowed with certain assets

To be deflected when out of cultural norms

I was born a girl

A sex object, the lower hand, a weakling

I was born a girl the biggest sin

I was born a girl

I am soft but I am strong

Made of innocence and perfection

Love's river carries me along

I was born a woman

A Mother, Maiden, and Crone

The power of the feminine protects me

With the Holy Mother I am never alone

I was born a female

I am a creator of life

I cycle with the moon phases

I am the the Universe's wife

I was born a human

But my soul was born a light
