A Silent Storm
I wake to loud booms and crashes just beneath my skin.
The night is quiet.
No hum of tires, no wind, my sisters tv isn’t even on.
Outside the moonlight illuminates the whole street. If it weren’t for the clock on the wall I’d think it was the middle of the day.
But, inside the storm rages on.
Is my room shaking?
Where has the air gone?
Why can’t anyone hear the storm that’s seething within me?
