Silence is NEVER an Option

There is forty students in my physics class.

The easels in my painting class are lopsided.

I don't know what that thing is in my lunch.

In Calculus, we push our tables together to share books.

In Japanese, we have no books at all.

We're given extra credit in English for bringing soap, tissue, basic, essential, hygenic needs.

I earn my A's, I participate in clubs, I am your average, goody-two shoes.

But my school has not received its justice; there is no equality for us.

I'm sick of walking the halls in search of soap.

I'm tired of sitting in the heat because the air conditioner won't work.

I am done with being quiet.

I am done with being "good".

It's time to stand up, fight back, and demand an equality we so rightly deserve.

Our birth-rights are not "privileges" that can be so easily taken away.

The mask is coming off, and I'm ready to make the difference.
