Sibling Rivalry

Racing through across the buildings.

Her blonde hair flowing through the wind.

Her silver bow and arrows strapped tightly to her back.

Her breath coming out in loud huffs.

Running, jumping, never stopping.

Her long, white and silver cape flapping wildly behind her.

Her gleaming mask covering her face from those below.

Her gray eyes wide and focused on the danger ahead.

Preparing for a fight she wished was not needed

This is the heroine known as Artemis.

The Goddess of the moon

The Protector of the innocent and the young.

The Saver of the wild and animals

Suddenly the guardian stops.

Her breaths coming out in large pants

Her body tensed

Her eyes focused on the figure in front of her

Her hand itching to grab her bow

The man in front of her Was the villain known as Apollo

The God of the sun.

The Terrorizer of the young and innocent.

The Destroyer of the wild.

He stood tall with an evil smirk on his face.

His red, gold cape flapping in the slight breeze

His tousled dirty blonde hair shining in the moonlight.

His eyes a smoldering liquid gold.

A deadly sharp sword hanging at the ready on his hip

His gold eyes narrow as they land on the hero.

His lips curling up into a sinister grin

His hand tightened around the sword.

The hero and the villain stare into each others eyes

Silver meeting gold.

Both tense and silent

Weapons at ready

The silence was broken by Apollo's voice.

“Hello, dear Sister.”
