To Shelley

Grandma, you are strong

One of the strongest women I know

Grandma, you are tough

A flower that survives a hurricane

Grandma, you have been absent

A note missing to complete a beautiful melody

But that's okay you're here now and that's all that matters

Grandma, you have flaws

But don't we all

Grandma, you have loved and you have lost

You were broken

But we can put you back together again

Grandma, you are lonely

I am too

Grandma, you are loved

And I know you love me too.
