Hear my words star light, star bright as first I gaze upon thy might
For myth hath claimed if I should wish upon thy glow on high.
It might come true, my one request, so grant this wish if not the rest
Invest this faith as I on your ascendancy rely

Relieve mine heart and grant it peace, allow me now this love release
Discard as one abandoned vase against the ends of time.
Let no more words embrace mine heart nor by my voice your song impart
Encourage through the darkest night that I should make no rhyme

Hear my words star light so bright, the first to catch my glimpse tonight
As I have hoped by all on high you grant this one relief
Until the day my wish come true, each night my gaze shall wait for you
With supplications hope as true that I escape this grief
