Self-Containment

He is stomped on
He is hushed
He is pushed into a corner

He wants to fight
He wishes to lash out
He begs to yell and scream

Yet he is silenced
He is forever silenced by his own self
His self whom hinders him

How can he fight himself
When he himself is unaware
That a fight is required?

He hides himself
Within himself
Behind walls of protection

He imprisons himself
Within his mind
Behind the bars of limitations

He must let himself free
So he can feel freedom
So it may kiss his deprived soul

He will be set free...
One day...
That day will be the day
That he wins the fight against himself.
