To "See" Me is To "Know" Me

What Makes Me Happy?

One of the things that makes me happy, is playing football

I’m really good now

I remember when I wasn’t good at all

I love hearing my name being announced from over the pressbox “Number 4, A.D. comes up with the BIG STOP!”

Everything I do, I ask will this put me in the League

Can’t let any distractions get ahead of my dreams I want to attend college and play football

And not sweeping somebody’s floor, unless its shoe prints From off my $1000 mat…………….at my front door

Who Am I Proud Of?

I’m proud of my mother because she raised me on her own

From dealing with my severe asthma attacks as a child

To making sure we always had a warm and safe home

She did her best teaching me how to be a man, to provide and protect

And which people to stay away from

And not just how to show, but how to earn respect

Without my mom, I probably would have by now become a failure

Sitting in a cell thinking of sob stories to mail her

I can’t forget my pops, because I wouldn’t be here without him

I believe he does his best at being my dad Since he knows what it’s like to live without one

What Do I Look Forward?

To Very few members of my family have made a name for themselves

Not that they didn’t have potential They were just focused on something else

I look forward to College Graduation day, and football will come later

In the future I can show my grandkids the video Of how far I threw my cap in the air

I plan to try to win all the awards that I possibly can

I want to earn everything, and receive nothing for free I just want my rightful chance

But if you were absent in my struggle, don’t be present during the success

What Makes Me Awesome?

Something that makes me awesome, is that I’m very mature, and people like that about me

Acting mature and using what I’ve been taught, is just something else my mom instilled in me

Because respect is earned, not given, everybody knows that

Earning it is a big deal, and that is a proven fact

I’m also awesome, because I’m humble and will never forget where I come from

Oh and my sense of humor is almost second to none

What Makes Me Laugh?

What doesn’t make me laugh?

Please let me teach you a lesson

I’ll laugh at anything, from jokes to stories told

And from my mom who think she’s funny, but she’s just getting old

My teammates and friends give me a good laugh everyday

Sometimes to the point where I have to stop and take a break

But the one thing that really makes me laugh is when People look at me strange and say I’ve changed

And I’m thinking, no I haven’t, I’m still the same I’m just no longer a child, I’m a young man
